Friday Night Lights at Brooklyn Music Factory

I’m THRILLED to be playing a Friday Night Lights concert this Friday for Brooklyn Music Factory’s monthly concert series. BMF is a fantastic music school where I’ve taught voice, piano, and band classes the past 2 years and it’s an honor to come play for this great community with my band. The show starts at 7:30pm at Dizzy’s on 5th Ave. in Park Slope, and BMF touring band Clover&theClockworks will open up the evening. (Don’t miss them! I’m a big fan.) My band for Friday’s show is Perry Smith on guitar, James Shipp on percussion, and Matt Aronoff on bass.

Seats are limited -if you’d like to join us Friday April 7th, please RSVP here

Happy Almost Spring!

Tell the Devil

I wrote this song in my kitchen while I was waiting for my love, to leave our apartment in Brooklyn. This song just happened to me, poured out of me, in the space of 5 minutes on a simple little 3 string cigar box guitar. I love the new sound, the simplicity, and I’m humbled by the effortlessness it took to create this music. Funny how being bored can bring on so much creativity….

This all happened about a week before I was scheduled to be in the studio to record my album. So, it’s on the album.  Here’s a sneak peak of “Tell the Devil.”
